Anniversary Trip to Bear Creek

Ben and I planned a trip to Bear Creek Mountain Resort two weekends ago for our 8th anniversary. I still cannot believe we have been together for so long! Although the weather condition was far from perfect the whole day on Saturday, I had my wicked share of fun soaking in the outdoor jacuzzi and just recovering from risking my life boarding in the storm. I fell hard on my head going down a ramp…so glad I was wearing my helmet!

I felt so satisfied with everything in Bear Creek, the slopes, the room, and the amenities. I would wholeheartedly plan another snowboarding trip to Bear Creek next season, if I can’t afford to go anywhere farther, such as Vermont or Colorado. During our stay in PA, Wal-mart Supercenter was like a local gem. It was only a short 15-minute drive from the resort, and we went there twice in three days to get our snack supplies.

With the weather warming up, it was sadly my last time snowboarding for this season. But that always gives me something else to look forward to, such as going horseback riding, biking, and to the beach for the summer!

For our anniversary, I surprised Ben with a fridge full of Nantucket Nectars Red Plum Cocktail. It is really hard to find the particular red plum flavor drink in our area; they don’t even sell it in Nantucket Nectar’s online store! I was searching the Internet for days until I came across this grocery delivery service provider in New York City that kindly offered to ship to MD. And Ben got me a Tiffany & Co. necklace because I couldn’t get over the fact that I lost the pendant (yes, just the pendant) of the necklace he gave me for my birthday in 2005.
