Transformer 2

It was such a coincidence that we watched Transformer 2 at Airbus IMAX Theater. The original intention was just to try since we have never been to an IMAX theater before, and Transformer 2 seemed like a perfect movie for IMAX. I wonder if they really did film on the site because they nearly blew up National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in the movie. The 6-story screen was huge, but we were still able to get a pretty good look of the entire screen given the fact that we sat kind of close in the front.

It was yet another coincidence that we went to Nest Cafe for dinner after the movie. Apparently, Nest Cafe is not such a "Top Secret" place, as it was still pretty popular even on a Sunday evening. The food there was delicious with a decent price. One thing worth being noted is that at Nest Cafe, my craving for sweet potato fries was finally satisfied! :D

Happy Birthday, Jilly Jelly!

Called my sister last night to wish her a happy birthday. I couldn't believe my baby sister has reached a quarter century! That makes me feel so old, although I am still questioned from time to time whether I am legal yet. I talked with her on the phone for about half an hour, and there was still so much more I wanted to tell her! I cannot wait until the next time we get together!

I still blame myself for not being beside her to give her support when she needed me the most. She is just such a mature and understanding girl who never lets us worry about her.

Happy birthday, my beloved Jilly Jelly, and have a good life!

The Doctor Made Me Sick

My Swollen (Sausage) Lips

Last week, I went to see Dr. R for some dry, rough patches on the skin around my lips. My primary care doctor is out on maternity leave, so I saw Dr. R instead. I was waiting and waiting and waiting for about an hour before she finally showed up. I expressed my concern and asked if there was anything I could use on my skin. She thought it might be due to vitamin B12 deficiency, so she ordered a blood work, but still prescribed some cream, told me the cream should take care of it, and left. All in 5 minutes.

So I had been applying the cream religiously for the past several days, but only to see the problem getting worse. Over the weekend, my lips had gotten numb and swollen. The skin around the lips was itchy and red. From a distance, I looked like I got beat up by my boyfriend. I called the doctor's office the first thing the next morning and left Dr. R an emergency message through the receptionist. She didn't get back to me until late afternoon. And she didn't even bother to ask me to go back so she could see what's up, even though I clearly told her that's what I wanted her to do. She simply prescribed me another steroid-based cream, and said, "that will definitely take care of it".

It seems like the new cream is working, but I am not satisfied with the health care I received, and I thought Dr. R failed to be professional about medical ethics while treating me.

I cannot wait for Dr. J to come back!
